Kentucky Gov. Issues Price Gouging Emergency Order to "Protect Consumers"

Kentucky Governor Matty Bevin is pretty good on many issues, but he is not perfect. As a major snowstorm hit over the weekend, he activated the state’s prohibitions on "price gouging":
In coordination with state authorities, I have put in effect prohibitions on price gouging in order to ensure Kentuckians pay appropriate prices on essential services and supplies during this winter storm.
Through back channels,  I am hoping to get this Joe Salerno commentary on price gouging to him.

  1. Economic understanding is so rare these days. It's a wonder the whole thing hasn't fallen apart.

  2. Bevin might be filing this under "Politicians must still get their votes". It is a tangled web we weave. Ask Rand how well that works out.
