New Zealand is Debating a Plan to Give People Free Money

On Monday, New Zealand's Labor Party leader, Andrew Little, announced that the country will consider implementing a version of a "basic income."

The party will discuss the feasibility of basic income curiously at the Future of Work conference later this month--sounds more like the Future of Loafing conference.

Little gave no details as to where this "free" money will come from.

The keynote speaker at the conference will be lefty, union tool, Robert Reich.

    1. Isn't it nice when they shamelessly confess their program is based on violent theft?

Stay tuned for statements claiming they're only stealing from thieves.

  2. issuing Policy papers don't get you elected in NZ, its only the incumbants acting like incompetant tools and everybody getting tired of them that gets you elected

  3. The FSA is on the march around the world. Why work, when your neighbor is perfectly capable of working for both of you?

  4. New Zealand and Australia are places where there are large welfare systems. I did calculations for Australia and a BGI would only cost 30% more than the current system because the overheads of administering the current system are so high.
