Russian Lawmakers Propose Up To Seven-Year Jail Sentences for Bitcoin Activity

A new proposal – drafted by the Russian Ministry of Finance – seeks to penalize Bitcoin users by up to seven years in jail time, reports BTCnews.

Bitcoin business owners would face a maximum of seven years of jail under the proposal, while regular users will face a maximum jail time of four years.

Russian bitcoin users should keep in mind that bitcoin activity is very trackable and can not be erased.
