Neil Cavuto -- just a few months removed from having open heart surgery -- returned to Fox News and Fox Business on Tuesday.
On Fox Business, host Stuart Varney ended his program with a customary toss to Cavuto for the "Coast to Coast" program the 57-year-old hosts there.
"For some strange reason, we're all happy to see you," Varney deadpanned.
In addition to open heart surgery, Cavuto has been forced to overcome a series of medical issues throughout most of his career.
"I don't hide that I have had a tough life in many respects. I fought back a near-life-ending cancer, only to end up with multiple sclerosis years later," he once told "People" magazine.
"Doctors have since told me that the odds of contracting both diseases in the same life are something like two million to one," he continued. "Yet here I am, marching on, continuing to do my job when doctors who've examined my scans and MRIs tell me I shouldn't be walking or talking."
In addition to hosting two programs, Cavuto is the senior vice president and managing editor of business news for the Fox Business Network.
