The word from insiders is that Donald Trump doesn't read policy briefings given to him, that's probably a good idea given the nonsense that is likely in most of them.
That said there is one brief essay that Trump needs to read pronto.
It is a review by Mises Institute fellow David Gordon of the new Stephen S. Cohen and J. Bradford DeLong book, Concrete Economics: The Hamilton Approach to Economic Growth and Policy.
In the book, Cohen and DeLong call for trade protectionism and industrial policy both, sans policy papers, Trump has also advocated.
In his review, Gordon blows to smithereens these policies, which Cohen and DeLong call concrete.

ReplyDelete"Bah, Humbug! Gordon is just another lefty globalist who wants Americans to work for the Chinese while hordes of Mexican rapists overwhelm our thinly-defended borders and marry our daughters!" will say many a Trumpista.
