BREAKING Trump Picks Goldman Sachs President to be National Economic Council Director

President-elect Donald Trump has picked Goldman Sachs president & COO Gary Cohn to be National Economic Council Director, NBC News is reporting.

There is no indication that Cohn has any particular understanding of economics.

GS friends tell me he is abrasive. Bloomberg reports:
At 6 foot 3 and 220 pounds, Cohn can be intimidating, according to two former colleagues. Visiting Goldman Sachs’s trading floors, he would sometimes hike up one leg and plant his foot on a trader’s desk, his thigh close to the employee’s face, and ask how markets were doing, they say.
He earned a bachelor’s degree from American University’s Kogod School of Business. His first job after graduation his first job was selling window frames and aluminum siding,

He then became a commodities trader, which ultimately landed him at Goldman.
