Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Sunday on CBS the Senate would vote to repeal the Affordable Care Act by the end of this week, with the House moving shortly after.
However, a government designed "replacement" plan, not free market healthcare is being developed by lawmakers. The replacement plan will not be ready for a vote this week.

Will it be a vote on S.Con.Res. 3 or some other bill?

Rand Paul is said to have convinced Trump to wait on the repeal. Ron Paul's apple seems to have fallen, rolled down the stream into the river, and been swept into an ocean, far from the tree.
ReplyDeleteThat doesn't seem to match Rand Paul's words, "I just spoke to @realDonaldTrump and he fully supports my plan to replace Obamacare the same day we repeal it. The time to act is now."

It seems rather far-fetched to imagine there will be such a plan. Let's wait and see what happens, and I'll be the first to admit if I am wrong, but I suspect the only outcome is that Obamacare does not get repealed by Friday.
