President Donald Trump told business leaders on Monday he believes he can cut regulations by 75 percent or "maybe more."
"We're going to be cutting regulation massively," but the rules will be "just as protective of the people," Trump told reporters at the meeting that included Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk and Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank.
Cutting regulations is, of course, a good thing, it gets government out of the way of stifling free markets. But I wonder if Trump realizes how stifling is his warnings of huge tariffs for firms who set up manufacturing plants overseas.

His free trade stuff is terrible, but if he drastically cuts regulation and business taxes the need for companies to leave will be reduced.
