BREAKING HOT S&P Downgrades Illinois to Near Junk

Illinois  bond rating has been downgraded to just one step above junk by S&P Global Ratings,

It is the lowest grade that has ever been given to a U.S. state on record.

S&P warned that Illinois is at risk of soon losing its investment-grade status, an unprecedented step, notes Bloomberg.
