Complete Idiotic Commentary From the Commerce Secretary



Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross sat down with The Wall Street Journal to discuss trade.

During the discussion, he attempted to defend his concern about trade deficits this way:
 The question I would pose to those who say deficits don’t matter is: “If trade surpluses do matter, is it really possible that trade deficits don’t matter?” And especially when there are ways to cure them.
How idiotic can you get? I know of no one that says trade deficits don't matter who also says trade surpluses are good.  The entire concept of the balance of payments, weighing trade deficits and surpluses, is absurd and at epicenter of the confusion that Ross displays,
