Thank You Janet Yellen: Buyer Pays Record $133K for Two Tickets to Game 5 of NBA Finals
A person paid $133,000, including fees, for two floor-seats to Game 5 of the NBA Finals at Oracle Arena in Oakland, Califronia, reports ESPN.
A team source told ESPN that a Golden State Warriors season-ticket holder sold the seats on the team's Ticketmaster resale site on Sunday night. With buyer fees at 15 percent, the buyer paid more than $17,000 in fees alone for the pair of tickets.
It should not come as a surprise that this record setting price occurred in the Bay Area since it is near the location of a Federal Reserve monetary spigot in Silicon Valley.
You would never see this kind of prices if Fed chair Janet Yellen wasn't printing money as though she was operating under a 24 second time clock.
BTW, the Warriors won the game against the Cleveland Cavaliers to become NBA champions.
