The Socialists Advance: Lefty 'Mosiquto' Wins in Amiens, France

Filmmaker François Ruffin has been elected to the French National Assembly.

He was elected by the northern French city of  Amiens, hometown of the recently elected French president Emmanuel Macron.

Ruffin, a leftist, proclaimed during his campaign:

 I will kick arse in the National Assembly. … I will be the mosquito in the house of deputies, to keep them from falling asleep.
