Massive Fire in Oakland Could Be the Work of Radical Anti-Growth Activists

Firefighters are battling a 4-alarm fire at a three-city block building under construction in the hip, gentrified Uptown area of Oakland, California.

It is much too early to determine for certain but there is some suspicion that the fire may have been deliberately set by radical anti-growth activists.

The Oakland area is a hot bed for left anarchists, socialists, anti-growth and anti-gentrification groups. Another building recently under construction that went down in flames earlier this year was recently ruled arson.
