Trump Plans to Halt Entrepreneur Visas

In the coming days, the Trump administration will take steps to delay and ultimately rescind an Obama administration rule allowing foreign entrepreneurs to come to the U.S. to start companies, reports Axios.

So how does this fit into the narrative of some Trump supporters that Trump is protecting us from the unwashed immigrants who supposedly just want to raid the U.S.  welfare system?

The rule, called the , is scheduled to go into effect July 17. U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services will take a procedural step to postpone that implementation date as soon as Monday, according to Axio sources. In addition, the agency is expected to start the formal process to eliminate the rule.

Trump is simply clueless when it comes to comparative advantage, trade and the division of labor.

Trumpistas are liars. They're not against illegal immigration. They're against immigration, period. Why do you think they continue to peddle the fraudulent 'statistics' from the vehemently anti-immigrant CIS?

  2. This program is abused. Wealthy Chinese buy visas off of sponsor groups like Chamber of Commerce promising to invest in property or start a business. Some with criminal records. The Chinese pay the $250k or whatever the amount to the Chamber. The Chamber pockets the money and the investments are never made. I have the raw documentation to back this up, but quit journalism before I got around to doing the reporting.
