Trump Proposes a 'Reciprocal Tax' On Trade

Here's Trump's latest plan to make goods more expensive for Americans and to stifle the division of labor and foreign trade.

Trump proposed what he called a reciprocal tax on trade during a meeting about infrastructure today. "We are going to charge countries outside of our country -- countries that take advantage of the United States," Trump told state and local officials, according to a White House pool report. "So we're going to be doing very much a reciprocal tax and you'll be hearing about that during the week and the coming months."
