Medicare Will Run Out of Money in 2026

Welcome to the world of US socialist healthcare.

The financial future of the part of Medicare that pays older Americans’ hospital bills has deteriorated significantly, according to an annual government report that forecasts that the trust fund will be depleted by 2026 — three years sooner than expected a year ago, according to the Washington Post.

The report, issued today by the Trump administration trustees who oversee Medicare and Social Security, also says that the nation’s aging population and escalating health-care costs will drive up spending in the other facets of Medicare that cover outpatient care and prescription drugs.

It is really time to end government involvement in healthcare.

Socialism didn't work in China or the Soviet Union. It is not working in Venezuela.

It is not working in relation to the U.S. healthcare system.

The idea that government solves problems is a myth. We need to return to private sector healthcare with no role for government and charitable organizations helping the financially strapped.

  2. I predict they will keep shortening the time that it will be depleted. Why? Because as the Boomers learn it is becoming depleted they will step up their doctor visits, their procedures, their tests so that they can get theirs before the money runs out.
