U.S. inflation accelerated in May to the fastest pace in more than six years.
The consumer-price index rose a seasonally adjusted 0.2% in May from the prior month, the Labor Department reports. Prices rose 2.8% last month from the prior year, the strongest reading since February 2012, when inflation was 2.9%.
