Paul Krugman Explaining Macroeconomics on a Roller Coaster
No, I am not kidding. His first roller coaster. Paul’s expression at the end is priceless. I haven’t seen him so ready to throw up since he debated Ron Paul. Personally, I’d prefer to do Economists in Cars Getting Coffee but the fact that this last only 2 minutes is probably for most people a bonus.
Of course, it should be pointed out that the economic roller coaster is created by the Federal Reserve.
And I am glad Colbert stuck the Weimar Republic's hyperinflation in Krugman's face when Krugman said not to buy gold.

Krugman cannot match Ron Paul on topic or debate in general. But the one chiding of Krugman that I have enjoyed was this one held in Spain in 2012, https://youtu.be/EX55BH97quk.
ReplyDeleteHeld on July 3, 2012 at the Fundación Rafael del Pino, this conference reviews Paul Krugman’s book, End This Depression Now!, 2013. Besides the author, Pedro Schwartz, Professor Emeritus at the Universidad San Pablo CEU, also spoke as did M.Conthe, Director of the Editorial Board of the newspaper.
If you don’t have the time to watch the entire video, at least watch the Pedro Scwarz segment beginning at the 35:22 mark, where he destroys Krugman, his theory, and its disastrous consequences on economies around the world.
At the 48:30 mark, Krugman charges Schwarz with pulling “credentials." It's worth a listen.
