Kudlow Says Trump Won't Back Off After China Escalates Trade War

President Trump's top economic adviser Larry "I'll take a heart attack for the president" Kudlow who "in theory" is for free trade told Bloomberg television:
We’ve said many times: no tariffs, no tariff barriers, no subsidies. We want to see trade reforms. China is not delivering, OK?
Their economy’s weak, their currency is weak, people are leaving the country. Don’t underestimate President Trump’s determination to follow through.

  1. If their economy is weak, if their currency is weak, then what the hell is the point of having this war?

  2. I guess China just got fed up with the US “taking advantage of them” via the Trump tariffs and decided to play some hard ball.

    Who would have guessed?

  3. The only possible outcome of this trade war is that China relents or loses. They need our markets much more than we need theirs (which don't exist for us). The only question is when? Hopefully Trump gives them a face saving way of backing down.
