Bob Woodward, author of the forthcoming book, Fear: Trump in the White House, published in his book a draft copy of the letter he claims then-top Trump economic adviser Gary Cohn took off Trump's desk to prevent Trump to from formally withdrawing the United States from a trade agreement with South Korea. (See: REPORT: Papers Were Stolen Off of Trump's Desk to Prevent Him From Starting an Even Greater Trade War).
Below is the Woodward copy of the letter that is in the book:

I distinctly remember numerous postings on libertarian websites stating that the so-called "free trade" agreements are nothing more than crony statist managed trade pacts.
ReplyDeleteIf we find out who primarily benefits from this agreement, we'd know who owns Gary Cohn.
If it were Ron Paul trying to sink the trade agreements, then I might agree.
DeleteTrump clearly just doesn’t like them because they stand in the way of his tariff regime.
You'd think it would be a crime to steal off the President's desk? Guess not.
ReplyDeleteIf we remove the colon from the title of Woodward's book, we have the real message. The colon does not appear on the book cover. It is an interesting double entendre.
