Trump Signals Progress On Trade Talks With China

For whatever it is worth, President Trump has sent out a tweet signaling progress in trade talks with China and that important announcements are coming.

Very productive conversations going on with China! Watch for some important announcements!

Of course, in evaluating such a tweet one must evaluate its veracity since the president tends to tweet as though he is still a New York City street hustler selling overpriced condos to rubes.

And there is the question of whether Trump would actually know what progress in trade talks would actually look like.

Best outcome but unlikely at this stage: He takes off the tariffs and declares victory.
