Crazy Drama: Trump to Hold Shutdown Meeting in Situation Room

President Trump is planning to hold a shutdown meeting today with top congressional leaders in the Situation Room, reports Axios.

Democratic and Republican sources told Axios that the setting is intended to emphasize Trump's concerns about the security "problem" along the Mexican border.

The list of attendees includes expected Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), incoming House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.), House GOP leaders Kevin McCarthy (Calif.) and Steve Scalise (La.), Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), Senate Majority Whip John Thune (R-S.D.), Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), and Senate Democratic Whip Dick Durbin (Ill.), sources told The Hill.

Meanwhile, Pelosi wrote on Twitter:
On Thursday, House Democrats will take action to end the Trump Shutdown, as we pass strong, bipartisan legislation to reopen government, which has already received strong bipartisan support in the Senate.
The bill will not include the $5 billion that Trump is asking for to build the wall, which Trump simultaneously is claiming Mexico is paying for via the new trade deal, USMCA.
