I agree that the bust isn't just around the corner, but I wonder if there will ever be another official recession.
With just about every metric by which the economy's condition is defined being gamed with changing definitions or government/central bank intervention or both will we even know there is a recession by looking at the numbers that have been traditionally used? Maybe if things get so bad that the manipulation doesn't work.
You got it right Jimmy. The traditional numbers are no longer an indicator of reality let alone accurate economic statistics. It will continue to influence until some yells liar to the face of statistics.
