Die-In in Front of Minneapolis Federal Reserve Bank

Well, this is interesting.

There was a 60-second  "die-in" on Sunday in front of the Minneapolis Federal Reserve Bank building.
I doubt many in the group understand just how the Federal Reserve distorts the economy and causes price inflation and the business cycle and how it results in a lower standard of living for all of us. But at least they have the right target.

It is time we start getting some reading material out to them.

They need to understand what the Fed is really up to.

If anyone knows the leaders that put this die-in together, please let me know.

  1. I have never met a progressive/socialist type that had any idea what the Fed does. I bet the collective knowledge of Fed operations, history, purpose, theory, etc of this entire group could not fill one page of paper.

    1. I also regret that the left is not smart enough to understand that the Federal Reserve is the enemy of the people. Because they cannot think more than one or two steps, they usually stop at condemning J. P. Morgan.

  2. There is a small group of anti federal reserve leftists in Minneapolis. I have met a few. Not sure how deep their understanding of it is. But I am pretty sure they know it is tied to the war machine.

  3. I fail to see how business cycles did not exist before the creation of the Federal Reserve. Can you provide me with some sources and empirical evidence?

    1. I respectfully suggest you read G. Edward Griffin's The Creature from Jekyll Island. In a nutshell, the Fed's printing press and suppression of free-market interest rates leads to malinvestment, e.g., dot-com bubble, housing bubble, etc.

    2. Business cycles did exist. Rothbard explains how and why. Here are some links

    3. Thank you, I will look at the Rothbard book. Previously, I was unable to bring myself to read more than a few pages of The Creature from Jekyll Island due to its poor style, let alone that it was not written by an economist studying the Fed.

  4. I had the leader of the Fairbanks Occupy group on my radio show back when they were getting busy here. My co-host followed up with a lunch with him, and the guy read “The Law”, and was completely astounded by the book. David explained the questions he had about the book, then we had him on again with a couple of his fellow occupy folks, and they had a change of heart. They were not ready to go full Anarchist at that time, but the fact we were willing to talk to them instead of getting petitions to kick them of city property, made them listen to us, and the “3rd way” they had never heard of before. In turn, we got a lot of university kids to start tuning into the show, and david was invited to an economic forum/debate with some other people who were part of the movement, and knocked their socks off.
So, as Bob suggested, get these folks some books, find the ones who are willing to have a dialogue, and tell them about the truth, that the State is the enemy of mankind. The results might amaze you. They will surely be better than the guaranteed results you will get by just counting them off as a bunch of dumb bratty kids, even though many of them are. Put a little work in.
