The Bitcoin price has reached an all-time high by surging past $20,000 this morning. It is now trading at $20, 655.
I attribute this to Federal Reserve money printing madness.
Assets are the place to be right now.
But I caution on Bitcoin.
I have Bitcoin in the EPJ Daily Alert portfolios because the upside potential is massive. However, I also point out to subscribers of the ALERT that there is regulatory risk that is significant.
At some point, as central banks move toward introducing their own digital currencies they will clamp down on competitors. That is the way the government plays the game.
We have even seen some steps taken in this direction from the Trump administration.
Bitcoin should be a part of portfolios but there are other positions that have strong upside potential with less risk.
