A Woman Said This in 2020

Stephanie Kelton

In 2020, during an interview with the Financial Times, Stephanie Kelton said:

I keep saying we don’t have a debt problem, we don’t have a deficit problem.

and this:

They’re going to have massive deficits, and it’s fine.

Her book promoting the madness that deficits don't matter, The Deficit Myth: Modern Monetary Theory and the Birth of the People's Economy, was released in 2020 and hit the bestseller lists.

My response to her Keynesianism on steroids view was also released in 2020: Problems With Modern Monetary Theory: A Comment on Stephanie Kelton’s "The Deficit Myth".

Buy them both and judge for yourself who is sane and who is a crackpot.
