Pete Buttigieg, President Joe Biden's nominee to lead the U.S. Department of Transportation, this morning told a Senate panel considering his appointment that it's crucial the country invests in strengthening transportation infrastructure nationwide.
And he launched the first suggestion for a tax hike. This one a gas tax:

ReplyDeleteThe new urbanist solution to everything, make motoring more expensive and difficult. Except once they price and regulate and ban people out of their automobiles how do they expect to fund the transit utopia? Will people pay the true cost in fares once other options have been destroyed? Unlikely.
