Thank You, Federal Reserve: New York Mets Sign Shortstop to $341 Million Contract

Hedge fund operator Steve Cohen, who now owns the New York Mets, has just signed recently acquired shortstop Francisco Lindor to a 10-year, $341 million contract extension.

Mets fans need to give a big shout-out to Federal Reserve chairman Jay Powell. You don't make Steve Cohen-type hedge fund money, that you can then pay to baseball players, unless there is a lot of money printing by the Federal Reserve.
