What Has Been the Largest Earthquake in Your State?

For the record.

Alaska is the winner by far.

  1. Cue Johnnie Cash:
"I fell into a Ring of Fire".
But don't forget that New Madrid fault! (accent on the "Mad")

  2. We had a 5.8 just the other day that I felt in my home in Fairbanks, Alaska pretty good. We get them so often a lot of times we don’t even notice.
I was on a job in Anchorage once were we excavated a large area where debris was still piled up under 20 feet of earth from the big one. It was devastating when it happened.

Good Damon Wayans bit about the anchorage 9.2 quake.
