Amazon Has Banned My Anti-MMT Book

See updates below.
\

It appears that Amazon has banned my book, "Problems With Modern Monetary Theory: A Comment on Stephanie Kelton's 'The Deficit Myth'"

For a while, it was ranked as the number one best seller in several Amazon categories.

It was selling very well. Apparently too well for Bezos and the "Deficits don't matter" crowd.

You will recall that when the book first came out, I had trouble with it because the link for the book at Amazon somehow ended up "Fast pink hot girls."

Find out what they don't want you to read. It is available by ordering through your local bookstore or online through Lulu.

UPDATE:

It is back up after a call by my distributor to Amazon.

You can order it here.

UPDATE 2:

In addition to my book, "Problems With Modern Monetary Theory: A Comment on Stephanie Kelton's 'The Deficit Myth'" being blocked/banned/delisted. (It is back up after my distributor called Amazon).

It appears that a large number of broadly classified "right-wing" books beyond my book have been blocked/banned/delisted byAmazon. It is not clear if this is temporary, a rogue employee or what.:

• The Unbroken Thread
• Live Not by Lies
• Why Liberalism Failed
• The Virtue of Nationalism
• The Politics of Virtue
• Hillbilly Elegy

    1. No reason, they just stopped listing it.

      My lawyers are on it.

    2. Wait, now you want to use the state's legal apparatus to force a private company to carry your garbage book? True libertarianism!

    3. Where do I say anywhere that I am trying to force Amazon to do anything?

If you have any idea about dealing with a large corporation, you need a lawyer just to cut through the bureaucracy to get answers.

    1. LOL, watch me.

You have a very narrow understanding of workarounds and how to be creative.

    2. What's with the trolling, Paul?

    3. I just love that the 'free market censorship' Wenzel supports finally made its way to him. Hopefully Amazon rescinds its decision and ultimately bans him from their platform.

  3. Why would you need a lawyer? Corporations are private and not required to sell your stuff.

If you have any idea about dealing with a large corporation, you would know you need a lawyer just to cut through the bureaucracy to get answers.

    2. LOL. Since when are corporations private? Don't they exist because the State allowed them to exist and operate?

Like private property, you own (or rather the bank if you have a mortgage) it until you don't as when you fail to pay property taxes.

You're basically a renter (even without a mortgage) and serf to the State.

    1. There might be some old links that work but you can't find it searching for it and it is no longer on my daily report of sales or on my author's page:https://www.amazon.com/Robert-Wenzel/e/B00KOSE8Y2

  5. Whether Amazon has the "right" to ban this book or not is hardly worthy of consideration given the title and contents of this book. MMT is a specious argument especially in terms of economic advancement. It ignores classical economic theory without any cogent explanation. (Let me know if you can find one.) Why then would Amazon, whose roots are in book sales, would ban such an important topic?

    1. Look at the list of all sorts of stuff they have banned.

  6. Publisher's are wary. Too many books, articles, that lack the facts upon which premises are based. The Voter Fraud lie is an example of the dilemma publisher's have. It's a lie and why promote a lie?

  8. Bob, I just found the book: https://www.amazon.com/Problems-Modern-Monetary-Theory-Stephanie/dp/1716646383. I bought a copy. Hope that makes you feel better about Amazon.

    2. Tell the truth, was it your distributor or did you call the ADL and accuse them of antisemitism?

  9. Congratulations! Add this to your list of bona fides.

  10. It wasn't my lawyer. He wasn't contacting them until Monday. Possibly my distributor but more than likely, they just reversed whatever they were up to.

  11. Probably some Communists that are working at Amazon.
