Peter Schiff is Hiring

John Duncan emails:

Robert, little tip for your readers.  Listened to the Peter Schiff show today, he said he has sales positions with Europac Metals in New York.  No college degree needed.  Just an understanding of inflation, gold and the ability to sell.  He asked people to send in resume's.

  1. There's a shocker, Mr. Schiff's main business (peddling gold) needs new pushers. Why are people so gullible and still listen to him when he was proven wrong over the last couple of years warning of "hyperinflation around the corner"? Mr. Schiff clearly wants to maximize sales commission before the gold bubble bursts or people stop taking him seriously. Good luck!

    1. what's wrong with buying gold? he's making like 2% on physical gold coins and does some good by getting people out of the dollar in the process... win-win

    2. Ooorrrrrrr he's just trying to help more people preserve their wealth, and get them out of the sinking ship that is U.S. dollar denominated assets and into hard assets like gold, silver, etc...

P.S. - Schiff has never said that hyperinflation is right around the corner. He has said that hyperinflation is the worst case scenario. It is not guaranteed at this point. We can still change course. However, he has said that if we continue on the path that we're on (endless Bernanke Bucks, and $1T+ annual deficits, then it will ultimately lead to hyperinflation in the future). You cannot ever predict an exact point in time. It's better to be a little bit too early, than a day late. You're either an obvious troll, or haven't learned a damn thing about economics reading this site... either option is pretty embarrassing.

Schiff has not been proven wrong. First of all, we are not out of the woods yet. Second, he always talked about hyper inflation being a possibility depending on the Fed. and what happens in the rest of the world. Third, "right around the corner" is very subjective and he has always said he cannot predict a timeline on when things happen. Fourth, considering his track record of being mocked by "professionals" about the biggest financial change in history and being proven right, it would be wise for people like you to understand the things he is actually saying and why instead of believing the same "experts" that called him wrong in the past and actually were proven wrong.

  4. Totally interested in this position. How can I go about sending in my resume? Just started trading on Scottrade. Gold indeed. Mr Wenzel, any idea who I would contact?

  5. I hope I can get a resume together, but I have virtually no sales experience. Gold is probably a tough sell through cold-calling. Americans hate to hear bad news, even though millions are living it right now.

Gold isn't cheap at $1680, but I strongly think it will go significantly higher. It may be a tough sell to get people to put even 10% of their savings into metals. Citizens of India are the biggest buyers I think. I wonder if Europac does any of their business there.

    1. Europac doesn't cold call, they call people who inquire.

  7. I wrote the Original PHONY ECONOMY (c) 1991. I've been selling for Peter Schiff for years without my authorization and without getting paid.
    Is there a better resume?
