San Francisco Bay Area on Brink of Hitting All-Time High for Employment

It's getting pretty crazy in the People's Republic. Newly printed Fed money is for sure flooding into the San Francisco area from Silicon Valley.

There are now 3.57 million paying jobs in the area as of September. The record of 3.61 million was reached in January 2001, state data show.

I am hearing anecdotal evidence of some pretty crazy money being paid out. I know of one recent college grad who has a sales job at a start-up and was getting paid a base of $60,000. In a year and a half, he has generated leads but hasn't closed a sale. The start-up was afraid he was going to leave. so, without his asking, they boosted his base to $80,000 and gave him stock options.
