Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro says he is planning to nationalize food distribution in his country.
AFP reports that during a rally Friday, on International Workers' Day, the socialist leader allowed a union activist to ask for the nationalization of food and essential-item distribution.
Citing new decree-making powers recently granted by the National Assembly, Maduro said he would carry out such a measure "in the coming days and weeks."

Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse. But don't worry. The USA will come to the rescue. They'll slap sanctions on Venezuela so the gummint there can blame it all on the US, and retain power.
