Bob, check out the ratio of thumbs down to thumbs up in the second video. There is hope for civilization yet.
I can just imagine the creative director's pitch to the Audi exec's:"I guarantee you that this ad will catapult your product's market share to Subaru-like levels"
Maybe the Sales department at VW/Audi truly believe that their target market is made of U.C. Santa Cruz students who drive 40-year-old Volvos around Soquel street...
"What do I tell her? Do I tell her the lies and propaganda from the left? The bad arguments that she's always going to be a victim of sexism? Or am I allowed by my lefty peers to tell her the truth?Nah, I'll just go ahead and tell her the same lies. I have friends from college coming over and I don't want her to embarrass me in front of them! Oh, and I bought an Audi! Yay!"
I wonder if Audi really pays women the same as men when merit, experience, tenure, etc. would suggest otherwise. If so, their competitors will soon eat Audi's lunch. I'm guessing, like the Obama White House and the Clinton Foundation, that Audi does not actually make uneconomic decisions like this.
