Obama and Biden will be joined by economic advisers, including former Treasury Secretaries Lawrence Summers and Robert Rubin, former Chairman of the Federal Reserve Paul Volcker, former Securities and Exchange Commissioner William Donaldson and several others. Berkshire Hathaway Chairman Warren Buffett will participate via phone.
All major networks are expected to carry the press conference live.
So have you picked up on any of your "a politician has 3 tells" signs yet on Obama? I saw your post about him flipping off McCain and Clinton. But what about how in interviews, he often answers a question with, "I have always said that..."
ReplyDeleteI think he does that to contain the lie. I.e. he lied 3 months ago in response to the question, and then afterwards he can truthfully say, "In response to that question, my answer in the past has always been..."
So if he answers with that opening, I assume it means he does not believe whatever he is reporting as his previous answer.
Ah, interesting Bob, re the way he starts an answer. I'll be watching.
ReplyDeleteThis, of course, will be his first post election press conference, and I am really looking forward to it, since he no longer has to say what will get him elected, what he says will have added meaning.
And, the flipping off of McCain and Clinton was very interesting, even more interesting was his need to show publicly his disdain for the two. I think this means that sooner rather than later, we will find out what Obama is really about.
