On August 11, Secretary Geithner hosted a private dinner at the Treasury for a group of business leaders. The Treasury, today, has provided me with that guest list:
Tim Armstrong, Chairman and CEO, AOL Time Warner
Scott Davis, Chairman and CEO, United Parcel Service (UPS)
James Kennedy, President and CEO, T. Rowe Price
Arne Sorenson, President and COO, J.W. Marriott
Bob Stevens, President and CEO, Lockheed Martin
Ron Williams, Chairman and CEO, Aetna
What strikes me about this group is their companies are very dependent on the government for franchises and subsidies. They couldn't very well decline an invite. But than who could? Software companies? Semi-C companies? Maybe professional bloggers.
