On Wednesday morning, Secretary Geithner will attend the President’s Economic Daily Briefing at the White House.
In the afternoon, Secretary Geithner will meet with Peruvian Finance Minister Luis Carranza at Treasury.

On Wednesday morning, Deputy Secretary Neal Wolin will deliver a speech at the University of the Witwatersrand’s Business School in Johannesburg, South Africa entitled, “Global Crisis to Global Recovery; How partnerships between the U.S. and sub-Saharan Africa can promote long-term growth on the continent.”
Later, he will attend a roundtable organized by Business Unity South Africa, an umbrella organization comprised of some 50 local business organizations representing the South African business community. The focus of the roundtable discussion will be on the South African economic outlook, the effects of the global economic crisis on the local financial sector, international financial regulatory reform and the role that South African financial firms are playing throughout the continent.
In the afternoon, the Deputy Secretary will meet with Director General of the South African National Treasury Lesetja Kganyago in Pretoria to discuss the G-20’s efforts to support a global economic recovery, the prospects for South Africa’s economy, and international financial regulatory reform
