First, it was money honey Maria Bartiromo, whose column was axed at BusinessWeek, following the takeover by Bloomberg LP. Now word comes that former GE head Jack Welch and his wife, Suzy, are quitting the column they have written together since 2005.
The Welch and Bartiromo columns were among the magazine's most popular in readership surveys, according to NyPo
No word on who the new BusinessWeek editor will be, but obviously the new editor will have a clean slate, with Bloombergs's suits doing the dirty work before a new editor arrives.
