This morning, Secretary Geithner will convene the President's Working Group on Financial Markets ,aka, The Plunge Protection Team, at the Treasury Department.
The PPT includes the Secretary of the Treasury, who serves as its chairman, and the Chairmen of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
In the afternoon, Secretary Geithner will meet with the President in the Oval Office.
In the evening, Secretary Geithner will depart for the G-20 Meeting of Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors at St. Andrews in Fife, Scotland.
