30-Year Mortgage Rate Rises for 2nd Straight Week

U.S. mortgage rates rose for a second consecutive week.

Interest rates on U.S. 30-year fixed-rate mortgages averaged 4.94 percent for the week ended Dec. 17, up from the previous week's 4.81 percent, according to a survey released by home funding company Freddie Mac.
