Rand Paul has sent out an email announcing that Chip Saltsman, who was Mike Huckabee's campaign manager during Huckabee's presidential bid, has been hired by RP to provide consulting services for his Kentucky senate bid..
Why in the world would Paul think what didn't work for Huckabee would work for him? That's illogical - just like the rest of the fake conservative campaign Paul is trying to push on conservative Kentucky! I support a REAL conservative for US Senator from Kentucky - Bill Johnson! Read the issues and decide for yourself who the wishy-washy candidate really is... www.kentuckybill.com
Bill Johnson received 2% of the pro-life vote. He received 4% of the pro-choice vote in the survey USA poll in November. Bill Johnson supporter pro choice vs pro life voters at a 2 to 1 margin. Support pro-choice Bill Johnson. All independent polls have Johnson at about 2% overall.
Luke, I NEVER post under any other name but my own. Also, the PPP poll the Rand Paul campaign is touting was not likely Republican voters and it had fewer than 500 respondents. IT's BOGUS. Also, they're touting a poll done two full months ago. Two different, new polls are showing Johnson at 17%. Also, he's leading among women statewide and in the southern region where Rand Paul is actually from. Give it up, Luke. Kentucky is not a libertarian state. Everywhere Johnson goes, he picks up new supporters because he's a solid conservative candidate. That's why you're seeing so many pro-Johnson comments on the blogs. Not me! :-)
Internal polls are meaningless. An internet news site commissioned a Zogby poll of several thousand and it showed Ron Paul winning the primary back in dec 2007. Independent polls have Billy at 2% overall. When you show some respect for Dr. Paul, I will consider it for your socialist conservative KY Bill and Co. I have nothing against the flag guy either. You misread me.
how can you say the only true conservative is bill johnson??? this is the same bill johnson who just took out a 250k loan for his campaign... way to be fiscally conservative. how can you run on a message of eliminating the national debt while incurring massive amounts of personal debt? please answer that? and you do know Rand Paul's father Ron Paul led the Texas delegation for Reagan dont you?
Also it is very ironic to me that you say Bill Johnson is a Reagan conservative and Rand Paul is a libertarian.
Perhaps you are not familiar with this quote by Reagan:
"If you analyze it I believe the very heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism. I think conservatism is really a misnomer just as liberalism is a misnomer for the liberals -- if we were back in the days of the Revolution, so-called conservatives today would be the Liberals and the liberals would be the Tories. The basis of conservatism is a desire for less government interference or less centralized authority or more individual freedom and this is a pretty general description also of what libertarianism is."
I'm just puzzled why KY Bill got 4% pro choice support vs 2% pro life support in the survey USA poll. Do Kentucky voters know something that you don't?
Quite obviously the poster who said Huckabee's campaign was not successful knows nothing about what it usually takes to come out in second place in the primaries. Huckabee did what is almost impossible in finishing so well with practically no name recognition or money going into the primaries. Guess THAT won't be a problem next time. Huckabee 2012!
"Two different, new polls are showing Johnson at 17%"
Baghdad Lisa, you're embarrassing yourself! The PPP poll was a real, scientific telephone poll that included only registered republicans. Tue sample size was barely any different from the November SurveyUSA poll that had Rand Paul leading too. The Margin of Error (MOE) was +/- 4.5%. No way you spin can make that.
Now you're here touting Johnson's own laughable internals as proof of anything? Just like McCain saying a week before the election his internals had him ahead of Obama? Get real. Everyone knows internals are bogus, just like Bill's entire 2% candidacy.
When Johnson gets above low single-digits in an INDEPENDENT poll, get back to me.
How do 'true conservatives' support Bill Johnson? That is admitting only people who are pro-choice are true conservatives, since according to the data most of Bill's supporters are pro-choice.
If you think Bill Johnson is a 'Reagan Republican' then you are in dream land. That is a huge contradiction when you attack Libertarianism and using the word 'libertarian' as an ad-hominem. This is ironic since Reagan himself said,
"If you analyze it I believe the very heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism. I think conservatism is really a misnomer just as liberalism is a misnomer for the liberals–if we were back in the days of the Revolution, so-called conservatives today would be the Liberals and the liberals would be the Tories. The basis of conservatism is a desire for less government interference or less centralized authority or more individual freedom and this is a pretty general description also of what libertarianism is."
And also:
" “somebody who agrees with you 80% of the time is an 80% friend not a 20% enemy.”
Since you already admitted you would vote for a Democrat over Rand, this is directly going against Reagan's own philosophy. Not to forget his "thou shalt not attack fellow Republican" rule. How can a 'Reagan Republican' attack a fellow Republican?
Yet anyone that understands recent history knows Reagan suddenly pulled the troops out of Lebanon. Isn't this the same policy of the 'far left?' Define 'far left.'
And yes, that other blog poster is Lisa. She already admitted she posts on other accounts ( http://texas4palin.blogspot.com/2009/11/rand-paul-has-asked-sarah-palin-to.html ) then on here lies about it and says:
"Luke, I NEVER post under any other name but my own."
See, honesty and integrity mean very very little when it comes to Bill Johnson. Never to mind how outright RUDE it is to spam on MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS under an article that is focused on Rand Paul and not Bill Johnson. All Johnson and his supporters do is MUD-SLING, thats why he can't poll more than 2% in the polls. I will accept an apology for this immature attitude and would ask you admit you've been spamming (breaking Google TOS rules), but I know I won't get that.

lisa graas.. keep drinking the coolaid. A Libertarian is the most conservative. Conservative princliples include smaller government and a foreign policy of non intervention. Didn't President Washington warn us about foreign entanglements? Did he not say trade with all nations and alliances with none? get over your neocon BS. Obama thinks the same way you do.
He's trying to do a makeover on his imploding campaign. True Conservatives in Kentucky support Bill Johnson!
ReplyDeletehttp://kentuckybill.com
Rand Paul's foreign policy is almost indistinguishable from the far Left. We need a Reagan conservative in Kentucky. That's Bill Johnson.
After that, you need to change your name to Lisa Gross

lol, who is Kentucky Bill... O h yeah, it's the guy who gets >2% of the vote and had to loan his campaign 250 K to stay a float.
ReplyDeleteBut the man who designed the 50-Star-Flag supports him.... YEEEPEEE
Lisa.. its in bad taste to post under multiple accounts on every blog about Bill Johnson..
ReplyDeletesorry but no one knows or cares who he is.. he has 1% in the polls.. give it up.
Rand Paul is the true conservative in the race.. Bill Johnson is just more of the same.

the ppp poll was bogus?
ReplyDeleteis that why they were the 2nd most accurate pollsters in 2008?
Well said anonymous, nice response to the troll Graaas.

2% Bill has no supporters, so few he can't even raise any money outside of himself.
