Deputy Treasury Secretary Wolin Takes His Travelling Show to Abu Dhabi

On Monday morning, February 15, Deputy Secretary Neal Wolin will meet in Abu Dhabi, UAE with Central Bank Governor Sultan bin Nasser al Suweidi and with Minister of Foreign Trade Sheikha Lubna al Qasimi. In the evening, he will meet with Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al Nahyan.

The Deputy Secretary also will meet with Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) MD Sheikh Ahmed bin Zayed al Nahyan and Abu Dhabi Investment Council (ADIC) MD Khalifa al Kindi.

In the afternoon, Deputy Secretary Wolin will hold a roundtable discussion with representatives from leading Abu Dhabi organizations that according to Treasury are "spearheading initiatives to empower young Emirati men and women to pursue meaningful private sector employment opportunities that deliver long term contributions to the economic growth and enterprise base of the country."

  1. Note Neal went to Abu Dhabi, not Dubai. The balance of power within the UAE has shifted. Abu Dhabi's sovereign wealth fund also owns a big chunk of The Carlyle Group.
