The harassment 0f Toyota, by the Transportation Department, continues to have ramifications at the automaker. Toyota will halt production at 2 plants, one in Kentucky and one in Texas, for up to 14 working days, because of the dramatic drop-off in sales, reports the Detroit News.
All workers will be paid during the shutdowns and are expected to report to work for plant improvement activities.
Toyota's January sales fell below 100,000 in the United States for the first time since 1999.
