As the Greek parliament passed a series of spending cuts and tax hikes as part of a $6.5 billion so-called "austerity package" that will bailout holders of Greek debt, the citizenry rioted.
Even a top official of the nation's largest trade union was attacked outside parliament by some of his members, who claimed he had sold out to the Greek government.
