Michael Burry a Student of Austrian Economics?

Hedge fund manager Michael Burry managed to profit to the tune of  $100 million plus betting against subprime mortgages.  Guess what book he has sitting on his bookshelf?

According to Wall Street Informer:

The article [about him] is a must-read for any investor, but what caught my eye was a book I spotted on the photo spread of Michael Burry’s office. Clearly visible in one of the stacks is “America’s Great Depression” by Murray N. Rothbard, the brilliant Austrian economist.
WSI probably strained his eyes, but he came up with 10 other books in Burry's office, here.

  1. Your link to Burry isn't right, I think...

  2. Austrian economics seems to be very popular among hedge fund managers. Hugh Hendry can be seen having Jesus Huerta de Soto's book Money, Bank Credit, and Economic Cycles on his desk (at around 5:40):
