Warren Buffett on Execs Who Complain About Short Sellers

Not always, but most of the time, when an exec complains about short sellers in his stock, there is a problem at the company.

Warren Buffett made this point clear when he talked to the Lehman examiners about Lehman's Dick Fuld complaining about short sellers:
Buffett did not like that Fuld complained about short sellers. Buffett thought that blaming short sellers was indicative of a failure to admit one’s own problems.

  1. Buffett liked that Blankfein was an advocate for doing God's work. Buffett thought that making claims that one was doing God's work was indicative of a highly lucrative connection to government favor and privilege which could prove useful in shoring up parts of his own businesses.
