The birth rate for women in their 40s climbed. The rate for women in their early 40s rose 4% over the previous year, reaching its highest mark since 1967. The rate for women in their late 40s rose slightly.
James Trussell, director of Princeton University's Office of Population Research explained to WSJ the rise in births for women their 40's this way:
You get to the point where the biological clock starts ticking and people realize they have to do it.
So Trussell's explanation is that women have biological clocks?
ReplyDeleteIf someone wanted to know why we were experiencing record rainfall since 1967, would Trussell say, "Well, water droplets condense around particles in the sky, and eventually come down as rain."
