An Extremely Busy Day for Geithner

On Wednesday morning, Treasury Secretary Geithner will attend the President’s Economic Daily Briefing at the White House.

At 10am, Secretary Geithner, Treasurer Rios, Federal Reserve Chairman Bernanke and United States Secret Service Deputy Director Kenneth Prewitt will unveil the new design of the $100 note at Treasury.

In the afternoon, Secretary Geithner and National Economic Council Director Larry Summers will meet with GM Chairman and CEO Ed Whitacre at Treasury.

In the evening, Secretary Geithner will meet with South Korean Finance Minister Yoon Jeung-Hyun at Treasury.

Secretary Geithner will then meet with President Obama, Vice President Biden and Health and Human Services Secretary Sebelius in the Oval Office.

Later, Secretary Geithner will host a private dinner at the Treasury Department with business leaders representing The Business Council to discuss the state of the economy, U.S. competitiveness and financial regulatory reform
