Euro Nose Dive on Fears of Unrest; French Downgrade Rumors

The euro sank through $1.25 to the lowest point since November 2008 as concern mounted over the fallout from measures taken to deal with the euro-zone debt crisis.

Further, rumors are in the market that  the debt of France may be downgraded by ratings agencies.

Dow down 122 points (roughly 1.0%). UK's FTSE  down 2.7%
