I never trust a word Pickens says when he is hustling government money for his windmills and natural gas properties, but when he is eying a private, free market investments, you always have to pay attention.
Right now he likes BP as an investment, he tells Business Week.
He also likes Transocean Ltd., which leased the Deepwater Horizon rig to BP that blew up.
Pickens is as sharp and as shrewd as they come. It's too bad he plays footsie with the government, but he isn't half as bad as Blankfein and Buffett.
